Food can look and smell normal outside a safe storage window. This section uses official time and temperature guidance, then turns it into labels and portion sizes that work in an ordinary refrigerator. Freezing preserves safety when food stays continuously frozen, but quality still changes. We state both facts instead of asking frost to negotiate between them.
