Post Work-Out Recovery Smoothie-- Vegan, Paleo, and Definitely a Treat!

So, you are running a long race this weekend?  Maybe even THE race, you know 26.2 mi, in Chicago?  This blended beverage is magic!  If you get home, have a little time to take care of yourself, blend this up to feel great and to let your body heal and energize:

Post Race/Workout Recovery Smoothie-- Delicious Fall Edition-->

Ingredients

3 Tbs of Cashews
2 Tbs Chocolate Chips (vegan, if applicable)
1 Tbs of Cocoa Nibs
1 Tbs Cashew Butter
1 Serving of Vanilla Protein Powder (like this one)
1 Cup of Almond Milk
** For Marathon Runners ONLY--> or strenuous exercise that has exceeded 90 minutes--> 1/4 C of Maple Syrup
2 Cups of Ice Cubes

1. Place all ingredients in blender

2. Add ice to about 1" above liquid line

3. Blend on high until smooth and creamy
