If you want to change one thing about your diet this year, do this:

It's resolution time.

When it comes time to make new years resolutions each year, many people try to commit to a complete lifestyle change: going to the gym everyday, obliterating any processed foods, ruling out grains, and more. Such a change can be overwhelming and hard to stick to.  

If you are looking to eat healthier, have more energy, and yes-- possibly even loose weight (without feeling hungry), we suggest one thing: eat 5 servings of fruit and veggies each day. Plant based diets have benefits in almost all areas of health, from mood to inflammation, and more.



Looking for some ideas on where to start? Swap out a bowl of rice for a bowl of cauliflower rice (or order your meals Whole30 from Cooked!), whip some veggies into your smoothie each morning, and stick to salads or veggie bowls at lunch topped with healthy carbohydrates like beans and lentils, or proteins such as grilled salmon or steak.  Make sure you get the fat you need in these lunches by adding a few glugs of good quality EVOO, nuts, tahini, or avocado.
