Did you know that…
Whole30 recently announced an Advanced Level Coaching Designation?
Earlier this month, Whole30 announced a select group of Whole30 Certified Coaches are now considered “Advanced Level Coaches.” I am thrilled to be among them! The Advanced Level Coaches were among the first Whole30 Certified Coaches, each having more than three years’ experience. I became a Whole30 Certified Coach in 2018, after winning a scholarship from Whole30 Approved brand The New Primal. You can read a little more about me and my Whole30 story here. Advanced Level Coaches are noted on the Whole30 website with an Advanced Coach badge on their photo.
Cooked has a special Whole30 menu item for the month of May?
Have you seen the new Chiles en Nogada on the Cooked menu? Inspired by Chef Jona’s upbringing in Mexico, this dish was created in celebration of Cinco de Mayo and highlights French influence in Mexican regional cuisine. You’ll enjoy a fire roasted poblano stuffed with ground turkey, vegetables, warming spices, nuts, raisins, and the Cooked Nogada sauce. The dish is topped with more sauce and pomegranate arils – and served with a fresh arugula salad and house-made lime vinaigrette. Can you say YUM? Be sure to order it soon because it won’t be sticking around for much longer. And keep an eye out for more new dishes on the Cooked menu coming later this month!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month?
To mark Mental Health Awareness Month, Whole30 HQ is providing resources to help normalize the conversation around mental health. Among the offerings: A “Dear Melissa & Friends” column on self-care and mental health, this blog on the Whole Families section of the Whole30 website about yoga practices for digestion and mental health, and an upcoming #Whole30CommunityCares event on “Sound Self Care: Nourishing Ourselves with Movement and Breathwork”, set for 7 pm EST on May 19. Check back on the Whole30 website for more details on this event! There will be also Instagram Lives on the Whole30 feed on mental wellness, hosted by Whole30’s VP of Social Impact and Strategy Dr. Carrie Kholi-Murchison. The lives are set for 7 pm EST May 12 and May 26.
There are some GREAT Whole30 coaching offerings for June?
If you’re looking for the support of a Whole30 Certified Coach next month, you’re in luck! Two of my favorite fellow coaches are offering groups to help you feel your best as you head into summer. Coach Stephanie Vanlochem of @cookbycolor will host a June Bloom group – a new 6-week group format designed to establish a healthy habit baseline and fortify your Food Freedom with a 2-week Whole30 mini reset followed by a 24-day dive into Food Freedom. In addition to focusing on food, Stephanie will help you incorporate realistic and sustainable movement and hydration goals. Coach Leslie Lewandowski will host a June Whole30 Jumpstart – 50 days of support and accountability through prep, Whole30, and reintroduction. The group will start on May 26 and members will have access to a dedicated Facebook page and weekly Zoom calls with Leslie.
